About Us

Dr. Banks grew up on a family farm in eastern North Carolina where his parents taught him the values of honesty, respect, and hard work. After completing his undergraduate studies at East Carolina University he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he earned the Doctor of Optometry degree. He returned to eastern North Carolina and has practiced in Havelock since 1983. He is a member and past president of the NC State Optometric Society. He is a former member and president of the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry.

Dr. Banks and his wife Linda enjoy working in their yard, spending time with family, and attending their grandchildren’s sporting events.
